My name is Julie Trappen, and I am a Kindergarten Teacher at San Tan Learning Center. This is my second year teaching here, and I am grateful to once again join a talented group of educators! I was born in Greencastle, Indiana, and grew up in Southern Minnesota on a farm.
I attended college at Maranatha near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Following graduation, I taught preschool in Jefferson, Wisconsin, 1st grade in Killeen, Texas, then Kindergarten here this past year. Most recently, I have been taking classes for a Structured English Immersion Endorsement to help educate English Language Learners. I have a heart for teaching and am thankful for the opportunity to have a hand in the future of America!
My family lives in Minnesota and Iowa, and I love visiting at every opportunity to spoil my nieces and nephews! My hobbies include scrapbooking, site-seeing, and photography. I enjoy being active, traveling, and exploring new areas. I am getting married on September 3, 2011 to my best friend Eric, and I couldn’t be happier with where life is taking me!
Kindergarten is such a great time to instill wonderful educational habits and I feel lucky to be a part of building this foundation with your children.
