This is my second year at San Tan and I love teaching kindergarten. My first year teaching was also in kindergarten at another charter school in Laveen, Arizona. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2007 with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Business Marketing. I chose to go into education because I love spending time with children and helping them learn and grow. I love coming to work every day! I am currently enrolled in NAU’s graduate college for Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement. I enjoy learning and furthering my education. My favorite subject in elementary school was reading and writing stories.
I was born in Anchorage, Alaska but grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada with my family. I am the oldest of five girls. I moved to Gilbert and have lived here with my husband Evan since we got married in 2007. We have a Yorkshire terrier named Sadie. My hobbies are scrapbooking, reading, traveling, biking and watching movies. I love to spend time with my husband cooking! I am so thankful all the opportunities I have been given and am excited for another year at San Tan.
