My name is Bethany Haughan, and I am the Principal at San Tan Learning Center.
I grew up in Lena, Illinois, and attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa as an undergraduate student. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Since then, I have also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision and achieved recognition as a National Board Certified Teacher with an emphasis in Middle Childhood. After teaching at top rated school districts in Illinois and Arizona, I was drawn to the unique mission and vision of education that Dr. and Mrs. Sippel had created at San Tan.
I joined San Tan Learning Center as a teacher in 2009 where I was allowed to flourish as an educator using teaching strategies of inquiry based learning and cross-curricular projects that matched my personal teaching philosophy. The past two years spent teaching at San Tan have given me the opportunity to truly learn about our community of families and teachers whose efforts make San Tan a great place to learn and work.
I am honored to serve the families at San Tan as we all work toward the common goal of keeping children at their cutting-edge.
