Hi! My name is Annie Herrick-Dixon and I’m thrilled to be teaching first grade again this year at STLC!
Sometimes I feel like teaching is in my blood; my grandmother, mother, two aunts, and one cousin are also teachers back in Minnesota, where I grew up. I went to college in Iowa, but immediately after college graduation, I escaped the weather and moved to Arizona to begin my teaching career. This is my tenth year teaching at the elementary level, and my second year at San Tan Learning Center. I really enjoy teaching this age group.
My family lives in Chandler. My wonderful husband, Jeff, and I have a beautiful daughter, Ellie, who is going into second grade. My family enjoys traveling, reading, eating, having adventures and playing outside, and basically just spending time together.
I am so happy to be here at STLC. I thoroughly enjoy the students, their families, and all of my coworkers. This school has the most amazing environment I have ever experienced in a school and I am so proud to be a part of it.
