Reminders:

*We have started a literature Study on Number the Stars and A Single Shard.

*There is a new assignment for writing and science also please look at the packet for the details.  It can be found on the science and language arts page.

 

*There is a new packet with the explanation of our project for the Great Depression.  Feel free to take a look at it.  We will be working on it for the next couple of weeks.

 

*It would be awesome if all the students were on IXL.com for the next couple of weeks.  This will help them with all the upcoming tests that we will be taking; every little bit helps.

The reading log should be filled in on the agenda.  There is a space on the bottom.

 

Words their Way spelling words should be in the agenda each week.

 

They should be bringing home a nothing book every Friday with a missing slip.  Please make them accountable by asking them to see their nothing book.  If you ever want to know what your child is missing just email me.  I am trying to keep you informed but sometimes I miss something.

 

They have a ticket out for recess and Fun Friday.  These are things that they need to accomplish before they can leave.  Please reinforce at home the importance of staying on task.  All of my ticket out requirements are doable for every student in class.

 

Please make sure that the snacks coming to school are healthy and within the nutrition guidelines for the school.

 

Everything that is due on Friday is on the board from Monday to Friday.  There is no excuse for not knowing what is due.  It will also be posted at the end of this update.

 

Some of them are missing out on recess also because of the same choices.  Their ticket out to recess is usually so simple there should be no one that misses recess but many students are not managing their time wisely.  This is such an important skill for middle school, no matter where your student is going.  They will have to manage tasks and deadlines for many different classes.  Please support me at home in practicing time management and good choices.
