Dear Parents:

 

Can you  believe it?!  There are only  7 weeks left in the school year.  Where did the year go?   The children are excited for Spring and the last quarter.

 

Please take a moment to check out the scholastic book clubs online.  I spent some time updating the recommendations and wish list items.  It is always a good time to give the gift of books.

 

The children continue to enjoy the peeling and cutting work.  They pretty much got the hang of cucumbers so we have moved on to large carrots.  Please continue to bring apples  and carrots in for the classrooms.    We have also been enjoying the plants out of our garden.  The children really enjoyed the experience of cutting and eating something they helped grow.  We now have two tomato plants and our strawberries are coming back from last year.

 

Just a reminder that we have the following days off this month:  the 6th, 9th and 20th.   Speaking of calendars, I wanted to let everyone know that we do have a summer program.  The dates and fees are all on the school website.  Since we know that many of you plan vacations over the summer, we allow you to pay by the week.  Continuing school and education over the summer is important for consistency for the young child.   It also prevents the knowledge loss that children experience over the summer.  The registration forms can be found on the website as well.

 

Please check out our April page so that you know what we will be covering in the classroom.  This way when your children can’t remember what he or she learned you can ask questions.
