Ms. Teresa DeAndrado was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois.  She has been married to her husband, Ari, for 23 years.  She has three children:  Ariana, Anthony and Ashley.  The youngest, Ashley, has attended San Tan since she was three years old and is now in 2nd grade.

Ms. DeAndrado received her B.A. in Spanish and International Development from Washington University in St. Louis.  She worked for the School of Law at Washington University for 9 ½ years after she graduated, becoming the Director of Career Services.  She then took some time off to raise children.

Ms. DeAndrado and her family moved to Chandler, Arizona in 2000.  She completed her AMI Montessori certification here in Phoenix in 2011. Ms. DeAndrado worked for a Montessori School in Scottsdale before joining San Tan Learning Center in 2007. Ms. DeAndrado is currently the San Tan Montessori School Director as well as one of the lead teachers.  Ms. DeAndrado is a member of the Association Montessori Internationale and the North American Teachers Association.

Ms. DeAndrado believes in the child-centered focus that promotes the development of the whole child through a collaborative process into the person of character they were meant to be that is the foundation of both Montessori and the education at San Tan Learning Center.
